We’re a third generation family run delicatessen hidden in rural Leicestershire.
Passing through Rothley you might be forgiven for driving past without a second glance as we’re not your typical high street shop. Nestled on the edge of the village, directly next to The Great Central Railway, we have been serving our local community for 87 years no less! An Aladdin’s cave of a place where you will always find David North behind his impressive cheese counter and his son Dominic fleeting through the shop carrying anything from his signature Bagatelle through to a five tier wedding cake.
A patisserie counter, filled with stunning delights, freshly baked morning goods and a tempting display of chocolates greets you on arrival. A treasure trove of a shop where you will find market fresh fruit & vegetables, locally & globally sourced niche products, freshly baked bread and an impressive selection of wines from around the world.

David North and his son Dominic continue to uphold the family tradition that is North’s. Our third generation family owned and run business boasts over 80 years service providing an Aladdin’s Cave of culinary delights!
